Administrative Case Number

Tags:
Please note that the legal information presented on this page is written for those living in the state of Illinois.

What Does it Mean?

In Illinois, every administrative child support case has an administrative case number. Every document you receive from the Department of Family Services (HFS) will have the case number written on it.

Things You Should Know

Each administrative case number has an 'H'. For example:

  • "221HXXXXXX." Note: the numbers before the 'H' may be different for your administrative case number.

If you do not know what your administrative case number is, you can call HFS at (1-800-447-4278).

If the documents you received for your case don't have an administrative case number, they may have a docket number instead.
