Past-Due Alimony

What Does it Mean?

Past-due alimony is a payment a person owes if they fail to make an alimony (maintenance) payment on time.

Things You Should Know

Unless the past-due alimony is paid off, the amount owed will be included on your next bill. This bill will include the past-due alimony plus your regular alimony payment.  

In Illinois, past-due alimony grows at an interest rate of 9% annually.
