What Does it Mean?

Supervised parenting time refers to the presence of an employee of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) during a certain caregiver's scheduled parenting time (visitation).

Things You Should Know

A judge may order supervised parenting time if there is evidence that a caregiver has put a child's physical, emotional, or mental health in danger. A judge may also order supervised parenting time to enforce a caregiver's presence during their scheduled parenting time.
